Which nation has almost no senile dementia

Scientists don't yet fully know why people develop Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, and what

can be done to prevent this. Thanks to the latest research, it is clear that some clues may be found among the indigenous people living in the Amazon rainforest. Discuss

It turned out that two local tribes have one oflowest rates of dementia in the world. The researchers studied two groups of people from the Amazon: the Tsimane people and the Moseten. It has been found that the rate of dementia among the elderly there is only about 1%. For comparison: in the US, this figure reaches 11% among residents aged 65 years and older.

Scientists have noted that something in the pre-industrial and natural way of life protects the elderly members of the Tsimane and Moseten from dementia.
