The point is that OmniVisionintroduced its own module with a resolution of 200 megapixels. The OVB0A sensor received a matrix measuring about 1/1.4 inches, which, although it makes it quite large, is still inferior to the Samsung ISOCELL HP1.
The sensor also reportedly supports shooting 4K video at 120fps or 8K at 30fps. Estimated release date for the new product is Q4 2022.
Considering that many manufacturers of mid-budget (and sometimes budget) smartphones often use OmniVision developments, it is worth waiting for the appearance of many inexpensive 200 MP smartphones in 2023.
