At the same time, some users have concerns that they can be monitored through a webcam. In this case, it is better to close the camera physically.
The expert also explained that sometimes access tohackers can get a camera when using a computer remotely. This becomes visible when the computer “by itself” performs actions that are possible only in manual mode.
Geller explained that turning off the computer would not help in this case. The attacker already has access to the system and the necessary software for this. He will immediately get access the next time you turn on the computer.
“If it’s psychologically uncomfortable, then it’s betterclose the camera. But in general, if you do not work with classified information, live an ordinary life, then few people will be interested in you, the probability of hacking tends to zero. The big services we use don't need your camera and don't store video. It must be a purposeful camera hack. It is not very difficult - at the level of adding a virus to a PC to a person, stealing a password from a social network. The task for an ordinary hacker is how to find software for this, ”the expert explained what to do with the camera in case of fear of surveillance.
