At the largest international aerospace exhibition Dubai Airshow 2021, Russia presented a variety of aircraft products.

At the same time, the Mi-28NE, Ka-52 "Alligator", Mi-171A2 and Ka-226T "Alpinist" helicopters appeared at the air show for the first time. After the exhibition, Andrei Boginsky told what the new attack helicopter will look like, which will replace the Mi-28 and Ka-52 in the future.

According to the CEO of the holdingRussian Helicopters, the next aircraft will be a fundamentally new attack helicopter. For starters, it will be optionally piloted. This means that it will be both unmanned and manned. Also, next-generation helicopters should be able to interact with information not only with each other, but also with other aircraft - airplanes, UAVs and not only.

In an interview, Andrei Boginsky noted the importance of unification of weapons on helicopters of the future - the machines will be able to carry any weapon.

It is also the versatility of the use of one or another weapon that can be hung on different types of aircraft, that is, the unification of weapons.

As for the appearance of the helicopter, the question isremains open, perhaps the new car may be very different from the existing ones. “When the requirements are finalized, it will be possible to say with the help of what these requirements will be fulfilled,” notes the general director of the Russian Helicopters holding.

Recall that the Ka-52 helicopter is distinguished by uniquecharacteristics - the possibility of basing on the ship, folding blades, folding wings for compact storage. The Mi-28NE has other characteristics that the Ka-52 does not have. Andrey Baginsky emphasizes that these are the two best machines in their class, “they will satisfy the needs of any discerning customer, depending on the mission of the application, goals and objectives,” he concludes.
