The user decided to compare in several testsWindows 11 operating system performance with all the latest updates and Windows 10 version 21H1 (May 2021 Update) in multiple programs. Computer configuration was as follows: Ryzen 5 1600 AF processor, MSI B450-A PRO MAX motherboard, 32GB CRUCIAL Ballistix Sport LT AES 3400MHz RAM, GeForce GT 1030 graphics card, a pair of 1TB and 120GB Samsung SATA SSDs ... Earlier, he also found out that Windows 11 had problems with the L3 cache, and this prompted him to find out if the company fixed this flaw and how it would affect performance.

The images below show the results first.testing Windows 10, second – Windows 11. In the AIDA64 test, a drop in speed was visible, as in AIDA64 FPU VP8. Same – when starting FPU Julia. In the CPU-Z test version 1.96 in multi-threaded mode, the slowdown of the new version of the system was especially noticeable. The WinRAR test showed an 8 percent decrease in Windows 11 performance compared to Windows 10.

1/11

In some tests, Windows 11 pulled ahead. For example, in Cinebench R23, PCMark 10. In 3DMark 11 in Performance mode, the scores of both systems were almost identical: 107 and 108 points.

An interesting result was obtained during testingperformance of Windows 10 and 11 in METRO 2033. When running the game on version 11 of Windows, the average performance and maximum number of frames turned out to be higher, but the minimum – slightly lower than Windows 10: 69.67 fps vs. 68 fps average, 195.58 fps vs. 163.59 fps maximum and 23.66 fps vs. 25.63 fps minimal.

In general, according to the user, Windows 11 is still not fully finalized. This is proved by discrepancies in system requirements, various errors during installation, drop in performance in tests.
