A few days after the presentation of Windows 11, we continue to learn details about the new operating system
Internet Explorer
In Windows 11, we will finally say goodbye to the proprietary Internet Explorer browser: for the first time in 25 years (since the release of Windows 95 OEM Service Release 2.5), it will be completely excluded from the OS.
As Microsoft said, “desktopInternet Explorer 11 will not be available in Windows 11. Microsoft Edge is the default browser for Windows 11. The MSHTML engine functions as part of the Windows 11 operating system to enable IE mode in Microsoft Edge."
There are still people who useInternet Explorer, so they will have to stay on Windows 10. And although support for Internet Explorer will end on June 15, 2022, it will remain part of Windows 10 LTSC (Long-Term Servicing Channel).
Skype
Another outdated service, unpopularwhich became obvious during the pandemic was the Skype messenger. It lost to competitors such as Zoom, FaceTime, Google Meet, and now even Microsoft has realized that it’s time to stop trying to “revive” Skype. Therefore, in Windows 11 it will be excluded from the standard software package. Of course, those interested will be able to download the application from the Microsoft Store, absolutely free.
Let us remind you that instead, Microsoft Teams was integrated directly into the taskbar.
