PC Support & Gaming Test YouTube channel tested the performance of Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 laptops
The author of the channel compared two Lenovo laptops, one of which is equipped with a Core i5 processor and an NVIDIA MX450 graphics card (Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 82FG0148IN), and the other is equipped with a Ryzen 7 5700U processor with integrated Vega 8 graphics (Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 82LN00A3IN).Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Red Dead Redemption 2, Grand Theft Auto V, Far Cry 5, Cyberpunk 2077, Control, Battlefield V, Assassin's Creed Valhalla were used for testing.
INShadow of the tomb raiderThe configuration with Core i5 NVIDIA MX450 shows itself much better: on average, the frame rate in this case is about 30 fps higher than that of the Ryzen 7 5700U with Vega 8, and is55 fps, while the Ryzen 7 5700U has 22-23 fps.Almost the same gap between the Core i5 and NVIDIA MX450Ryzen 7 5700U seen inFar cry 5: about 50 fps and about 20 fps respectively.
Low level of performance demonstrates the Ryzen 7 5700U with Vega 8 and inRed dead redemption 2: it averages 20 fps, while the Core i5 with a graphics card is around 45 fps.
Twice the average performance compared to the competitor shows inGrand theft auto vCore i5 NVIDIA MX450: about 100 fps vs 45-50 fps.A similar situation in the projectControl: 45 fps versus 20 fps on average.

But inCyberpunk 2077It was in the range of 15-20 fps: about 35-40 fps for a computer with Core i5 NVIDIA MX450 and about 20 fps for a model with Vega 8 graphics.
A 20 fps lead is noticeable in the gameBattlefield vHere you can count on the average performance of the Core i5 NVIDIA MX450 - around 45 fps, Ryzen 7 5700U with Vega 8 - around 25 fps.
The only project where the difference in laptop performance was quite insignificant wasAssassin's Creed ValhallaWith the Intel Core i5 and NVIDIA MX450, you'll get a frame rate of 24-25 fps, while with the Ryzen 7 5700U you'll get a frame rate of 20-21 fps.
In general, as we can see, the Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 5 82FG0148IN with an Intel Core i5 processor and an NVIDIA MX450 graphics accelerator showed higher results in games.
