Xiaomi developed MIUI 14 for seven low-cost smartphones in 2020, but at the last moment refused to release the update and ended support

Xiaomi has made a very strange decision to end the life cycle of more than half a dozen smartphones. Company

stopped supporting some devices, although the development of MIUI 14 has already begun, and some models even managed to receive a beta version of the firmware.

What is known

This is written by enthusiasts from the xiaomiui group, who call the decision of the Chinese company wrong and unfair. Xiaomi has submitted seven relatively old models to the EOS (End of Support) list:

  • Redmi 9/9A;
  • Redmi Note 9;
  • Redmi 10X 4G/5G;
  • Redmi K30i 5G;
  • POCO F2 Pro.

All of them were presented during 2020. Standing apart in this list is the POCO F2 Pro smartphone. It is the flagship based on the Snapdragon 865 processor.
