Xiaomi 13 Ultra disassembled on video: real stereo and aperture nuance

Xiaomi 13 Ultra, presented yesterday, attracted the attention of all bloggers and fans of the best smartphones. Having become acquainted

with new designs from an extensive collectionstudio shots, it wouldn’t hurt to look under the hood. Even before opening the smartphone, the author of the video pointed out the unique design of the case: the back cover has a two-stage structure, which makes the frame visually look extremely massive.

The disassembly process starts with removalplastic SIM tray, after which you need to use a flat spatula to peel off the plastic cover, preheated with a hairdryer. Next, you should remove the 50-W wireless charging coil combined with NFC, and then a two-section frame with built-in antennas and (surprise, surprise!) two speakers at once: conversational and multimedia. In other words, Xiaomi 13 Ultra will offer full stereo sound, and not the usual “one and a half” sound, when the bottom speaker plays in tandem with the speaker.

Next, access to the massive block opens.the main cameras and the motherboard, on which the microphone and IR remote control are soldered. Immediately, the reason why the variable aperture on Xiaomi 13 Ultra does not have intermediate positions between f / 1.9 and f / 4.0 was revealed: instead of the traditional multi-blade design, they decided to do something simplified. After removing the bottom speaker and the tiny AAC 1010 vibration motor, which is significantly smaller than the Xiaomi 13 Pro, you can remove the 5000 mAh battery.

Curiously, the screen can be replaced without disassemblyback of the smartphone. Brightness measurements showed a maximum value of 530 nits in manual mode and 1340 nits under bright light. Under the display panel, there is a Mi IceLoop cooling system with a generous amount of copper foil. Unfortunately, the author did not assign a repairability rating to the device, but iFixit specialists will probably do it soon.
