Xiaomi will start updating Redmi 9, Redmi Note 9S and Redmi Note 9 Pro to MIUI 12 on October 20

There are some Xiaomi smartphones that have not yet been updated to MIUI 12, including Redmi 9, Redmi Note 9

S and Redmi Note 9 Pro. Now it has become known when these models will receive the firmware.

When?

We are talking about a global market.For example, Redmi Note 9 Pro has already received the MIUI 12 update, but it is intended for the Indian market, and the versions of the smartphone for India and the global market are different. And although Xiaomi did not make any officialannouncements about the update, the MIUI 12 release date was confirmed as a result of a conversation between the user and a Xiaomi UK support representative. They promised that the rollout of the update for Redmi 9, Redmi Note 9S and Redmi Note 9 Pro will begin on October 20.

Also the customer service representative clearlystated that the update for Redmi 9 will begin for global, Indian, European, Russian and other units in October 2020. But Android 11 will have to wait until February 2021.
