The manufacturer plans to announce more than 10smartphones with 5G in 2020. According to Jun, the main feature of this technology is the throughput increased by almost 10 times. Due to this, Wi-Fi may become useless in the future. By the way, now 5G smartphones account for only 1% of the market. Next year, according to Strategy Analytics, that figure will rise to 10%. However, such devices will become widespread only by 2021.
In addition to 5G network technology, Xiaomi also plans to develop neural networks. They are primarily needed for artificial intelligence and, of course, for the development of Internet of Things (IoT).
