Xiaomi first hit the Fortune Global 500 rating and arranged a big sale on this occasion

Fortune magazine has published its traditional ranking of the world's largest companies, the Fortune Global 500, and for the first time

The Chinese company Xiaomi was involved.

What does it mean

The Fortune Global 500, as its name suggests, includes the 500 largest companies from around the world. The main criterion for including or not including a company on the list is revenue.

Xiaomi is located in 486th place in the neighborhoodwith Nokia and NEC. At the end of last year, its revenue amounted to $26.44 billion, which is almost 56% more than in 2017. The company's assets are estimated at $21.15 billion.

Also in this ranking are Apple (11th place), Samsung (15th place), Foxconn Electronics (23rd place) and Alphabet (37th place).

Gifts to employees

In honor of its success, Xiaomi made a gooda gift to your team. According to the head of the company, Lei Zun, all employees (and that’s 20,538 people!) will receive 1,000 shares of the company as a bonus. Taking into account the current price of Xiaomi shares, this is about $1,145 per person.

Big sale

But the holiday doesn’t end there.Xiaomi organized a sale in China, reducing prices on more than 40 of its products (including the Redmi sub-brand). These are smartphones, laptops, TVs, vacuum cleaners, washing machines and other home appliances.

For example, Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 with 8/128 GB of memory can bebuy for $377, although its regular price is $523. Redmi Note 7 Pro and 43-inch Mi TV 4A have fallen in price by $30, and the Black Shark 2 smartphone has fallen in price by $73. The Mi Notebook Pro laptop (15.6-inch screen, Intel Core i5, 8/512 GB of memory) is sold for $770 - almost $90 cheaper. And last year’s flagship Mi 8 Pro costs $260 instead of $436.
