Xiaomi has found a new way to combat overheating of flagship smartphones

Xiaomi has introduced its own technology for cooling flagship smartphones called Loop LiquidCool.

The technology will allow cooling any devices with powerful chips that require more and more power consumption and heat generation.

Loop LiquidCool technology isa system of an evaporator, a condenser, a compensation cavity and two vapor-liquid pipes. According to the descriptions, the evaporator will be installed next to the motherboard. Under heavy loads, heat will be generated on the processor, forming a capillary effect, which will attract the cold liquid that cools the device. After evaporation, the heat will be evenly distributed to the cold zone of the specialized loop channel, where it will remain until condensation.

Xiaomi offered its cooling technologysmartphones for the reason that, according to its experts, all existing cooling systems are not efficient enough. According to the vendor's representatives, Loop LiquidCool is twice as efficient due to the new form factor, despite the fact that it is based on the standard method of liquid cooling.

The new technology was tested on a modifiedsmartphone Xiaomi MIX 4. According to the test results, in 30 minutes of a powerful role-playing game Genshin Impact with a frequency of 60 fps and maximum graphics settings, the heating was fixed at around 47.7 degrees. The Snapdragon 888 Plus processor showed a temperature 8.6 degrees lower compared to the processor temperature of the standard version of the smartphone.

Loop LiquidCool is supposed to debut on Xiaomi smartphones from the second half of 2022. It will probably already be the Xiaomi 13.
