Xiaomi has released an open beta version of Android Q with MIUI shell for Mi 9 and Redmi K20 Pro smartphones

Xiaomi opened a set of volunteers for closed testing of Android Q last month, and now the manufacturer

The new version of the software can be tested by the owners of the flagship smartphones Xiaomi Mi 9 and Redmi K20 Pro in China. In theory, in the near future, test firmware will also be available for global devices.

MIUI based on Android Q will not bring any fundamental changes to the design of the MIUI shell, but it will provide greater privacy with application permissions and improve the performance of smartphones.

Recall, the new version of Android will receive 11Xiaomi devices. At the end of this year, they plan to release stable firmware for Mi MIX 3, Mi 9, Redmi K20, Redmi K20 Pro, Mi 8, Mi 8 Screen Fingerprint Edition, Mi 8 Explorer Edition, Mi Mix 2S and Mi 9 SE. Early next year, an update will be released for Redmi Note 7 and Redmi Note 7 Pro.
