On November 30, 2020, Beijing-based Xiaomi Mobile Software filed with the National Intellectual Property Administration
What came up
At first glance, this is an ordinary smartphone withoutall sorts of cutouts and holes for the front camera. Its peculiarity lies in the use of a retractable block with a PTZ camera, which can play the role of both the main and the front one.

Probably the idea was borrowed from Samsung GalaxyA80 (pictured) with a similar design. Unfortunately, this is the only Samsung device with a PTZ camera - apparently, production turned out to be too expensive, so the company returned to a more familiar design.
The images show a camera with three sensors, you can also see a SIM card compartment, a USB-C port, a speaker, and various buttons.

Of course, this is only a patent for now, and it is unclear whether Xiaomi will bring this idea to life.
