Xiaomi is preparing another ultra-budget smartphone Redmi A1+ with MediaTek Helio A22 chip, dual camera and 5000 mAh battery

Xiaomi recently introduced the budget smartphone Redmi A1 - the manufacturer's first model since 2019

on “pure” Android. Now, according to insiders, the Chinese company is preparing another entry-level gadget - Redmi A1+.

What to expect

The phone has previously appeared on variouscertification sites confirming its existence. And now its renderings and data on its characteristics have appeared. According to available information, Redmi A1+ is very similar to the regular Redmi A1, the only important difference is the presence of a fingerprint scanner on the back panel.

The rest of the characteristics and design are the same:MediaTek Helio A22, 2 GB RAM, 32 GB storage, 6.52-inch display with a resolution of 1600×720 pixels, 8 megapixel main camera with a second additional sensor, 5 MP front camera in a V-shaped notch and 5000 mAh battery with a 10W charger.

The source also indicates the screen with frequency120 Hz updates, but this parameter is highly questionable. In terms of software, the smartphone will run on Android 12 OS with a standard user interface.

The price of Redmi A1+ is unknown, but it will clearly be higher than that of Redmi A1. The latter, by the way, costs $80 in India and €99 in Europe.
