Xiaomi is preparing to release a new smartphone Redmi with a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen, Snapdragon 870 chip, IP67 protection and 100-watt charging

Xiaomi in the first half of this year introduced smartphones Redmi K40, Redmi K40 Pro, Redmi K40 Pro + and Redmi K40 Gaming Edition, and

now preparing for release one more device with top-end characteristics.

What is known

According to a Chinese Weibo insider, the device will be similar to the Redmi K40. The smartphone will receive the same 6.7-inch AMOLED display at 120 Hz and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor.

As for the differences, the new product is credited withprotection against water IP67, as well as the main camera with the main sensor Sony IMX766 at 50 MP. The device will also boast support for 100-watt charging and updated speakers.

The name of the device is unknown. Perhaps it will be Redmi K40S or a smartphone from the new Redmi K50 line. The novelty is likely to compete with the Realme GT Neo 2.
