Xiaomi, JD.com and other Chinese companies boycott the H&M brand

Popular low-cost apparel brand H&M has faced boycotts from China's largest IT giants.

The reason for this was a statement made by representatives of the company a year ago.

This is a statement in which the Swedish brand"Announced" the refusal to purchase cotton from the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. According to GlobalTimes, the reason for this decision was called "the problem of forced labor in the region."

In turn, Xiaomi, Huawei, Vivo were removedH&M app from their online stores, and local services Baidu and Dianping stopped finding shops and facilities of the Swedish company on the map. The same platform JD.com has ceased to show the goods of the clothing manufacturer.

It is worth noting that although the refusal itself was voiceda year ago, the consequences began to manifest themselves only now. Experts believe that the reason for this could be the newly accumulated relationship between the authorities of China and Europe.
