Xiaomi has been working on under-screen front camera technology for smartphones for a long time and recently showed
What showed
The video shows a smartphone that looks very similar to the recently released Xiaomi Mi 10 Ultra, so it is most likely a version of it. Due to the under-screen camera, there are no cutouts or holes on the display.
The strange thing is that the camera's operation is on videonot shown. Therefore, most likely, this is a prototype, although the author assures that such a smartphone will be presented in October or November. Xiaomi itself recently stated that a finished device with an under-screen front camera will debut no earlier than next year.

Let us remind you that previous Xiaomi cameras missedthere was not enough light, and the area of the display where they were located had a lower pixel density. The new solution is called almost ideal: the selfie camera is invisible, but takes pictures almost the same as regular front-facing cameras. This is all thanks to the special pixel arrangement: light passes through the gaps between the subpixels, so there is no need to turn off some pixels.
