What changed
The new product is larger and clearerdisplay, more sensors for better health tracking and longer battery life compared to its predecessor. It was expected that the bracelet would also receive GPS, but this did not happen.
So, Xiaomi Mi Band 6 received a 1.56-inchAMOLED display (50% larger than the Mi Band 5) with a resolution of 360×152 pixels and a pixel density of 326 PPI. The gadget looks more modern due to the absence of thick indents at the bottom and top - the display stretches almost to the edges. There are 130 different dials to choose from, and the case is protected from water, so it can be submerged to a depth of up to 50 meters.
In addition to the heart rate monitor and heart rate monitoringrhythm, Xiaomi Mi Band 6 boasts a pulse oximeter that monitors the level of oxygen in the blood. According to Xiaomi, the SpO2 sensor can also be used to monitor breathing quality during sleep.
In addition, to the 15 exercise modes that are alreadywere in Mi Band 5, added 6 fitness tracking modes with automatic detection, including indoor and outdoor running, indoor and outdoor cycling and elliptical trainer.
Mi Band 6 can last 14 days on a single charge, and the power saving mode extends this period to 19 days. The bracelet is charged using a magnetic system.
Prices
As before, the new product comes in two versions:with and without NFC. The first one in China will cost $43, the second one will cost $35. On the global market the cost will be 45 euros. One cannot help but be pleased with the variety of colors. The fitness tracker is available in 8 color options: white, brown, black, blue, orange, yellow, green and silver.
