Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo will create a common P2P data transfer platform

Xiaomi, Oppo and Vivo officially announced the creation of an alliance, whose goal will be

development of cross-platform data transfer protocol. This will greatly simplify file sharing between devices from three manufacturers.

How does it work

The platform will be peer-to-peerprotocol, for its functioning it will not be required to install third-party applications or use Internet traffic. Representatives of the alliance assure that thanks to the development, users will be able to exchange files of any format with a speed of up to 20 Mbps. Beta testing of the protocol will begin at the end of August 2019, smartphone manufacturers are also invited to participate in the development. Realme, a Chinese company, has already responded to the call to join the alliance.
