Xiaomi unveils iOS 14 style widget system for MIUI 12.5

Xiaomi has announced a new widget system for MIUI 12.5 software. Now they will

similar to the concept from iOS 14. The manufacturer has already begun recruiting testers who will be the first to try out the innovation.

The list of new features includes a widget store witha wide range of system software widgets including clock, weather, steps, health and memory management. There will also be new mesh sizes:

  • 2 x 2;
  • 4 x 2;
  • 4 x 4;
  • 2 x 3.

Widgets can be placed not only among icons. An additional screen is provided for them in the style of iOS 14.

The set of testers has already started, but the beta versionfirmware will be released only on August 17th. You can apply for participation until August 27. The only requirement for a smartphone is to run the Android 11 operating system. The beta testing program will run until October 20.
