Xiaomi unveils MIUI Pure Mode - MIUI feature that protects against malicious apps

Xiaomi continues to improve its proprietary MIUI shell. So, this year two small

updates include MIUI 12.5 and MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition, and now the manufacturer has introduced a new feature called MIUI Pure Mode.

How it works?

Xiaomi says that due to the open natureAndroid users can easily fall victim to attacks through malicious apps. 40% of applications installed by MIUI users have never passed its security audit, and 10% are considered potentially dangerous.

MIUI Pure Mode is designed to protect the gadget and itsowner from malicious applications. With this option activated, users cannot install applications from external sources. Additionally, it blocks any installation happening in the background without users' consent.

Apple also operates in this way, but unlike it, Xiaomi allows you to disable MIUI Pure Mode and install applications from other sources.

MIUI Pure Mode is currently being tested in China. When its full release will take place and whether the function will be available on the international market is still unknown.
