Earlier, there were first rumors that some kind ofa model of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series, potentially the S23 Ultra, will feature an under-display camera. Even the well-known insider Ice Universe claimed that the Galaxy S23 could get such a front camera.
Now it is reported that Samsung could decide not toto install an under-screen camera in smartphones due to the fact that the technology does not yet fully meet the requirements for mass-produced devices. It would be a big risk for the company to ship hundreds of thousands of Galaxy S23 phones and then get a lot of complaints about poor camera performance. Therefore, it really makes more sense to continue testing.
