
Google appears to have begun testing a more aggressive approach to its use of ad blockers
What does it mean
Last month, some users who had not signed up for a paid subscription to the service began receiving warnings that the use of various ad blockers on YouTube was prohibited.
Now users have started receiving newalerts. YouTube says the video player will be blocked after three strikes. Until you run out of these attempts, there are two ways out of this situation: disable your ad blocker and continue browsing along with advertising, or subscribe.

Reddit users report similar messages. But it seems that the innovation is only being tested with a limited number of users.
