YouTube has begun blocking Russian state media around the world.
Video hosting YouTube announced that it has updated itsrules and will now block channels associated with Russian state media around the world. That is, they will not be available from Russia either. Some channels and videos are unwatchable right now.
YouTube explained that the decision takes effect immediately, but it may take some time for all channels to be blocked. Already, for example, the channels "Russia 1", RT, "Russia 24" are not available.
In addition, video hosting suspends all methods of monetization in Russia.
