YouTube will remove messaging feature

Starting September 18th, you will no longer be able to post to YouTube.

In favor of comments

Messages

YouTube has never been a particularly popular sightcommunication. But this is a pretty convenient way to send someone a video without switching to other applications. Representatives of the company did not specify why they decided to remove the function, but said they wanted to focus on expanding the comment section:

“We are constantly reviewing our priorities and have now decided to stop using YouTube’s direct messaging while focusing on improving public conversations.”

Perhaps in the future there will be more tools for moderating comments.
