Zephyr drone with solar panels sets a new flight duration record

Airbus's Zephyr drone has set an air-to-air record, but it will have to land soon.

Zephyr is equipped with wings, the span of which is 25 m. The unmanned aerial vehicle weighs approximately 75 kg. According to the manufacturer, it can fly at an altitude of up to 21.3 km.

The drone has been in the air for more than a month.It launched on June 15 from the Yuma test site in Arizona. Thus, he has been flying for the 45th day. But soon the drone will have to land. This is due to the fact that Airbus is planning another drone test in the near future.
