Briefly for new Zoom users
What is Zoom— a program for remote meetings, presentations,meetings and seminars. In the free version, you can organize an online meeting with up to 100 people, the maximum duration of the event is 40 minutes.
How to download -ZOOM can be downloaded for free to your computer(Windox, Mac, Linux), smartphone and tablet running iOS or Android. After downloading, log in (if you have registered previously) or register to use the program.
Key Features -after authorization, you can run your owna conference or join a third-party, for example, it was organized by your colleague or friend. During communication, you can enable screen sharing (of your desktop), and the meeting itself can be recorded and then reviewed.
How to arrange a meeting and invite participants —on the main page of the program in the paragraphNew conferencecopy and send to participantsidentifierby which they will find you, orinvitation. The invitation includes the subject, name and surname of the organizer, connection link, meeting ID and password.
How to join the conference—ask the organizer to send you the conference link or conference ID. Just follow the link, and the identifier must be entered in the appropriate line in the sectionTo come inon the main page of the program.

How to use Zoom
Set virtual background
In order not to strain with the choice of environment androoms for a video call, you can select a virtual background from those available in the program or upload your own. The background will adjust to your movements in the camera. Go to settings by clicking on the gear icon in the top right corner. Open sectionVirtual background. Select a background from the available ones or upload your own: to do this, click on +.

Turn on HD quality
By default, Zoom does not transmit HD video streaming. But if you have a high-speed Internet connection, you can manually enable HD resolution for better video call quality.

Turn on the sound temporarily by pressing the key
Sound during a video or audio conferenceIt is recommended to turn off so that extraneous noise does not distract participants. In order not to press the Turn on sound screen every time when you want to say something and then turn it off, Zoom offers a more convenient option. Press and hold the space bar when you need to say something in the video call.
If the sound is not activated when you press the spacebar, check in the settings: maybe this option is disabled for some reason (it should be activated by default).
Adjust the sound of microphones and speakers
Most laptops have microphoneslow quality, so before you start a video or audio conference, check the audio quality on your device. Go to settings, go to sectionSound:Check and adjust the sound of the speaker and microphone. An automatic volume control is available for the microphone.
Connect two monitors
If you have multiple monitors at home, you can connect them both in Zoom settings. Go to settings, sectionAre common, check the box next toUse two monitors. After connecting two monitors during a video meeting, participants will be on one, everything else will be on the other.
Use keyboard shortcuts

Record a Hangout
If you have an important video conference, you can record it. You can use the recording at any time after the video meeting ends. During a video call, in the bottom panel of the window, clickRecord. You can change the folder in which recordings will be saved, as well as configure other parameters in the settings, in the sectionRecord.

Turn on the unread message counter for channels
Like Slack and Microsoft Teams, Zoom hasthe ability to create a channel in which you can discuss work issues with colleagues. By default, Zoom does not show the number of unread messages in a channel. To enable the counter, go to settings ->Chat. Activate the functionShow unread message icon for channels.
Mute audio or video when entering a hangout
By default, when you join a video meeting in Zoom, video and audio are turned on. You can disable automatic sound activation in the sectionSound, video, respectively, in the tabVideo.
Enable display of real member names
By default, Zoom shows everyone's namesvideo call participants. But not all users use real names. If you need to address participants during a video conference, you can turn on the option to display real usernames. You can do this again in the settings, sectionVideo.
