I always write in ZTE reviews that this is uniquea manufacturer that produces both ultra-budget models and premium flagships. But in fact, there is a gaping hole in the company's assortment: devices of a serious class. Seriously, there are the budget lines Blade (international) and Travel / Voyage (Chinese), and immediately above it is the flagship Axon. And today we will talk about one of the most advanced smartphones of the "lower half" of the ZTE range - the budget novelty Blade V41 Vita.

Equipment and design
ZTE Blade V41 Vita comes in white and bluecardboard box, postulating three main features of the model: 6.6″ Full HD+ screen, 50-megapixel camera and 22.5-W charging. This same charger is included in the kit, and judging by the logo, it uses Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology. This immediately gives rise to intrigue: will Qualcomm fast charging even work in combination with the MediaTek chipset? We'll figure it out towards the end of the review.
The smartphone is available in a singlecolors and looks interesting. The body is entirely plastic, but the back is very similar to frosted glass with a glossy stripe. This stripe, along with the gold accents on the cameras, nicely breaks up the design and the phone doesn't look boring at all. Despite the flat edges, the ergonomics are good. But there are questions about the build quality: in our copy, the left end is not glued to the case, it slurps and creaks. Perhaps this is a feature of the sample, but in general, I have not met with creaking smartphones for a long time.
List the location of all elements onI won’t go to the corps, I’ll focus on the interesting. First: there are stereo microphones, which is not always pleasing to state employees. At the same time, the speaker is mono, and even located on the left, which is why it overlaps in landscape orientation. A 3.5mm audio jack is in place, but for some reason microSD is not supported. The fingerprint scanner is very fast, but doesn't always recognize it the first time, and often tries to recognize something that isn't even close to being a finger. Therefore, there is a great chance that by taking the ZTE Blade V41 Vita in your hands, you will see that you have already exhausted all attempts to unlock by fingerprint.
The screen of the Blade V41 Vita is quite simple:6.6″, 2408×1080 pixels, 60 Hz, touch 120 Hz, IPS. Neither subtract nor add. A good panel without color distortions when tilted, but also without a reserve in brightness. IPS provides excellent picture clarity and no PWM, so I would consider adherence to this technology a plus. But the lack of Hertz frequency is a disadvantage: after all, 90 Hz has already become the norm for mid-budget devices. A nice bonus: there is an LED indicator in the top frame. A rare visitor in 2023, very rare.
Software
ZTE Blade V41 Vita comes with Android 12 andMyOS 12. Do not confuse this firmware with Motorola's MyUI, they have nothing in common except for the name. During the use (and I spent a week with the V41 Vita as the main phone), MyOS proved to be a very stable shell, but I can’t call it modern in design and functionality. This is probably the secret: if you do not make additional functions, they will not fail! Let's look at the screenshot gallery and move on.
Cameras
When I saw a set of cameras in the specificationsBlade V41 Vita (50+2+2 MP), I thought: well, here we go again, JN1 and two plugs from GalaxyCore, well, as many as possible! But no, ZTE was able to exceed my expectations. She used the rare Hynix Hi-5021 sensor as a basis. It is slightly larger than the JN1 (1/2.55″ versus 1/2.76″), but the Hynix brand does not inspire optimism. There is no OIS, of course; aperture f/1.8. As for the plugs, one of them actually turned out to be GC02M1, but the second one was SC201CS from SmartSens. Let's look at the photos:
Daytime photos I liked highdetail and accurate color reproduction, but the noise reduction algorithm is somehow very strange. The sky is more like a blue oilcloth than the sky. And in general, there is more noise than usual - but the detail is higher. In general, peculiar, but having the right to exist algorithms. As for night photos, they are terrible in auto mode and look like they were taken with some kind of 2-megapixel camera. But if you turn on the night mode, the photos are transformed and become, of course, not masterpieces, but very worthy shots.
One of the plugs is designed for macro photography and sometimes shoots macro even better than the main camera. But oddities with noise reduction at a resolution of 2 megapixels become even more noticeable.
The 8MP front camera also uses a Hynix (Hi-846) sensor. To be honest, the front camera is quite weak. Suitable for video calls only.
Videos can only be recorded on the main andfront camera and only in 1080p@30fps. The quality is so-so. But, what is nice, there is EIS, so you can shoot on the go handheld and not really worry about the watchability of the result.
Performance and tests
ZTE Blade V41 Vita Hardware Base - Popularthe mid-budget MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset. It is accompanied by 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory, which, as you remember, for some reason cannot be expanded using microSD. Usually at such moments, I advise you to decide on the amount of memory on the coast, but this cannot be done either, because ZTE has not provided any modifications other than 6 + 128. Well, it's a very balanced set of memory, don't you think?
Benchmarks show significant CPU throttling, but a perfectly flat line for GPU.Please note that this is an Extreme test, and you cannot compare its results with what we have published before!Plays well on the phone - you can also playYou can ride SuperTuxKart with medium settings, run in Genshin Impact (also on medium), and just enjoy the gameplay in simpler games like Hungry Shark World and Ballz. In general, normal mid-budget performance.
Now about the autonomy, for which the ZTE BladeThe V41 Vita responds with a 4500 mAh battery. During testing, the following results were obtained: -13% per hour YouTube, -12% per hour in the browser, -17% per hour in the game. On average, you can expect 6-8 hours of screen time in 1-2 days. On the day of testing, the phone was discharged by 87% in 5.5 hours of the screen, but it was a rather heavy load (the above three tests + benches, camera). State employees can be much more autonomous, but such a life expectancy without an outlet is quite enough.
Well, now it's time, as the fans sayfilm comics, close the story arc. How does the Blade V41 Vita charge from a charger that is not compatible with its own processor? A full charge takes 110 minutes. In half an hour, the battery gains 35%, in an hour - 62%, in an hour and a half - 88%. Not quickly, of course, but it seems that the unit still honestly gives out its 22.5 W, and the phone honestly accepts them. Otherwise it would have been even longer. I don’t know what magic ZTE made friends with QC and MTK, but it works.
Conclusions
At the time of writing the review, the price of the Blade V41 Vita indifferent stores is from 14 to 17 thousand rubles. Compared to other smartphones for the money, ZTE has both its pros and cons. But in general, this is a fairly balanced phone in its segment, and choosing it is unlikely to be a serious mistake. The main thing is to understand what exactly you choose. If, while reading the review, you thought to yourself: “oh, this is cool, but don’t care about this somehow, but it’s also good that they did it that way” - take it.
